How can we help?
Getting started, billing, and fixes for the most common questions. Still stuck? Contact us.
Getting started
1. Install and sign in
Download the desktop app for Windows 10/11 or macOS 13+, open it, and sign in with Google (or Apple on macOS). New accounts receive free trial minutes to test translation right away. Step-by-step guidance is in our tutorial.
2. Choose a language and play audio
Select your target language, then play any audio on your computer (a stream, course, or meeting). WireLang™ translates the system audio live.
3. Subscribe or add credits
Subscribe to a Pro plan for monthly hours with rollover, or purchase a one-time credit pack that never expires. You only pay for your live session time — pause anytime (or enable auto-pause on silence) and the clock stops. See Pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Billing, credits & subscriptions
How does pricing work?
There are two ways to pay. Pro subscriptions (monthly or annual) include translation hours every billing cycle, with 100% rollover for unused hours and unlimited Bring-Your-Own-Key mode. Alternatively, you can purchase a one-time pay-as-you-go credit pack without a subscription. Credits never expire, and time is deducted only while your session is live — pause anytime (or enable auto-pause on silence) and the clock stops. See Pricing for current rates.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel anytime, and your first purchase (subscription or credit pack) is covered by a 3-day (72-hour) money-back guarantee. Inside the app, go to Settings → Billing → "Request Refund & Unsubscribe". Refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Full details are in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
I bought credits but don’t see them yet.
Payment confirmation can take a few seconds. The app refreshes your balance automatically after checkout, or you can tap the refresh icon next to your balance. If it does not appear within a minute, contact us.
What happens when my time runs out mid-session?
Translation stops when your balance reaches zero; you are never charged beyond your live session time. You can top up with a credit pack or subscribe to continue. On a Pro plan, unused hours roll over to the following billing cycle.
Can I use my own API key (BYO)?
Yes. In Bring-Your-Own-Key mode you connect your Gemini API key, and translation runs through your Google Cloud account with no software fees from us. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland your key must belong to a billing-enabled Google Cloud project, and standard regional availability rules apply. Setup instructions are in the BYO guide.
Troubleshooting
The app says microphone access is blocked.
WireLang™ translates the audio your computer plays, not your microphone input. Both Windows and macOS route system audio capture through privacy permissions that must be granted once. On Windows: open Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone, turn microphone access ON, and allow WireLang Live. On macOS: open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, toggle WireLang ON, and relaunch the app.
Translation won’t start or audio is silent.
First verify that audio is playing through your speakers, and that loopback capture permission is granted (see the permission guide above). Restarting the app resolves most transient audio subsystem issues. If the problem continues, send details through our contact form.
The session won’t connect, or drops mid-translation.
Live translation requires a steady internet connection. Check your connection, and if you are using a VPN, proxy, or strict firewall, allow WireLang™ network access. Stop and restart the session; you are never charged while disconnected. If disconnects persist, contact us so we can review diagnostic session logs.
It says WireLang™ isn’t available in my region.
WireLang™ relies on Google's Gemini Live API, which is unavailable in certain countries. When opening the app from an unsupported region, a notice will appear. A personal BYO key does not bypass these restrictions because availability is enforced upstream by Google.
Languages, platforms & account
Which languages are supported?
60+ languages are supported for real-time speech-to-speech translation. Select your target language from the in-app dropdown.
Which platforms does WireLang™ run on?
The desktop application runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS 13+ (Apple Silicon and Intel). Sign in with Google on Windows, or Google and Apple on macOS. Your balance is tied to your account, so your credits remain available across computers.
Is my audio private?
Your audio is streamed live to Google's Gemini API to generate translations; WireLang servers never record or store your audio. The desktop app stores transcripts and optional recordings only on your local computer. Nothing is uploaded, and you can disable or delete session records anytime in Settings. Detailed terms are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account or my data?
Email support@wirelang.com from your account email address and we will remove your account and stored profile information. Saved BYO keys can also be removed instantly inside the app Settings.
