# WireLang Live > WireLang Live is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that translates the audio playing on your computer into live speech in your language. It works with any app that plays sound — Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Discord, YouTube, live streams, webinars and online courses — without a bot joining the call and without the host enabling anything. Translation is powered by Google's Gemini Live API. ## What it does - Captures the audio your computer is playing (system output) and speaks a translation into your headphones in real time, typically a second or two behind the speaker. - Optional on-screen captions of the translation; optional session history (transcripts and recordings) stored only on your own device. - Turns the original audio down under the translation, like a live interpreter. - 64 target languages, including English, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Arabic and Russian. - Works the same in any calling or video app, because it translates what you hear rather than integrating with each app. ## Platforms - Windows 10/11 (Microsoft Store or direct download) and macOS 13+. - Sign in with Google (Windows and macOS) or Apple (macOS). - New accounts get free trial minutes. ## Pricing Prices are in USD; the live catalog is on https://wirelang.com/pricing.html. - **Credit packs (pay as you go, never expire):** Spark — 3 hours for $10; Stream — 7 hours for $20; Marathon — 15 hours for $40. - **BYO Annual — $24/year:** unlimited translation using your own Google Gemini API key. Google bills your Gemini usage directly at Google's own rates; WireLang adds no markup. ## Coming soon: Headset mode Two-way voice translation for calls: you speak your language and the other person hears a translated voice in theirs, through your normal calling app. In development for Windows first, then macOS. No release date announced. It will require your own Gemini API key and a per-seat licence. Details and demo requests: https://wirelang.com/headset-mode.html ## Privacy - Audio is processed transiently to produce the translation. WireLang servers do not store your audio or transcripts. - Audio is processed by Google's Gemini API; how Google handles it depends on whether you use WireLang credits or your own key. See https://wirelang.com/privacy.html - Optional transcripts and recordings are saved only on your device and can be turned off or deleted. ## Good fit for - Understanding meetings, calls, webinars and lectures in a language you don't speak. - Watching foreign-language YouTube videos, live streams and online courses. - People who want spoken translation rather than reading captions, including blind and low-vision users. ## Not a fit for (today) - Translating your own voice to the other person on a call (that is Headset mode, not yet released). ## Key links - Homepage: https://wirelang.com/ - How it works (tutorial): https://wirelang.com/tutorial.html - Pricing: https://wirelang.com/pricing.html - Bring your own Gemini key: https://wirelang.com/byo-key.html - Translate Zoom calls: https://wirelang.com/translate-zoom-calls - Translate Microsoft Teams meetings: https://wirelang.com/translate-teams-meetings - Translate YouTube videos: https://wirelang.com/translate-youtube-videos - Translate online courses: https://wirelang.com/translate-online-courses - Business and corporate licensing: https://wirelang.com/corporate.html - Help and FAQ: https://wirelang.com/help.html - Changelog: https://wirelang.com/changelog.html - Korean (한국어): https://wirelang.com/ko/index.html - Support: support@wirelang.com
